It has been a busy, busy week at Cocoa Latte. I met with an architect on Monday and unbelievably, he said he would have 3 design proposals ready for me this afternoon!! Who works so quick these days, especially during a Holiday week? I am almost beside myself with excitement. I’m having equipment delivered next week and then begins the mad rush of inspectors, electricians, plumbers and then more inspectors (the inspector part is a little daunting because I have been hearing some horror stories lately about silly little insignificant details delaying opening for weeks or months).
Generally, things are falling nicely into place…with one glaring exception…PACKAGING! Never in a million years would I have guessed that this would become my Achilles heel:-/ How hard is it really, to create a way to neatly encase my product? It sounds simple enough, and yet, I have been going back and forth for over a month with this one company to no avail. I think it’s time to cut my losses and find a different company…hold on… I’m adding that to my “To Do” list (which is becoming more and more like a scroll), right now!
Finally, I’d like to end today’s blog by taking a moment to give thanks for my many, many blessings in life. First and foremost, I have my wonderful husband and my two amazing daughters. As long as they are healthy and happy, I am just fine. I have family who are like friends, and friends who are like family! We all have a roof over our heads and food on the table everyday, and in this world where so many have neither, that is truly a reason to give thanks!
